JWMS Trip to the Palm Springs Art Museum (Mr. Hope's Class)
Mr. Hope's art class from James Workman Middle School recently visited the Palm Springs Art Museum. The two trips we took to the PSAM were in December were part of a pilot program that was created this year to service visual art programs at the middle school level. The goal was to have one 7th and one 8th grade group visit the museum getting a tour of selected works of art and create a piece of original artwork on site based on one of the pieces that were featured. The visit was essentially a lesson in art history as well as studio art.
